1956 Chrysler Windsor Convertible (Sold)

This 1956 Windsor convertible was purchased in Wenatchee, WA where it had been in lengthy storage. It carries Nebraska license plates, last licensed in 1969. It was originally finished in Geranium Red, with a Geranium and White interior. This Windsor convertible was a complete car when we acquired it, equipped with the 331 Poly engine with the 4-barrel 250HP option and Powerflite transmission. The engine turns easily, but we didn't attempt to get it running. However, apparently due to its previous life in Nebraska it had suffered rust damage in both quarter panels in the wheelwell areas as well as in front of and behind the rear wheel openings and rocker panels. The floor panels are actually quite intact, except for the areas just behind the front wheels and just ahead of the rear wheelhouses. We disassembled the car in preparation for it undergoing a complete body restoration and cosmetic conversion into a 300B convertible "concept car". At this point in the process our customer chose not to proceed with the project, so the Windsor was placed in storage. The body is a rolling shell with doors, decklid and hood intact. All of the parts removed have been labeled and boxed and stored together in our shop. It is missing no known parts except the windshield glass.
